I see that your English teacher, one Rosemary Dibben, has had the extraordinary insight to send you here to seek wisdom and guidance in parsing the religious language of Chocolat, especially in relation to Babette's Feast.

Are You There, God? It's Me, Marty
O Gracious Lord—You Who Know Betrayal,
My miserable execrable assistant, after abandoning me almost a year ago to wander like a shade in the nether-depths of the blogosphere, with nary an ISP, URL, or decent mouse to guide me, has started his own ludicrous blog.
And here I sit, no longer able to stand, having had the wind expelled from my entrails like the Hindenburg over New Jersey, with truly awesome movie stuff to share and no one to share it with!
Monday, November 10, is my birthday. I will have been alive and well—or at least subject to sales tax—for 525 years, and all I ask, short of your smiting with Old Testament gusto the aforementioned assistant (a plague of tax audits would do quite well), is that my voice be unleashed upon the world once more. And that this opportunity come with sufficient renumeration, a nice benefits package, a real pension plan (not one of those IRA thingees), and at least 3 personal days (and the Friday after Thanksgiving off—I mean, come on ...).
Is that so much to ask?
